Ready, Set, Done! DP

As it’s been a while since our last free-write… set a timer for ten minutes. Write without pause (and no edits!) until you’re out of time. Then, publish what you have (it’s your call whether or not to give the post a once-over).

In 3 days time, I will cease from DP on a daily basis and this can be said to be the real Ready, Set and Done DP for me. It has been a good and wonderful ride I must say and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Hope it was enjoyable for those who have been reading and I appreciate the exchange of ideas and encouragement along the way. No, I am not leaving WP. It’s only DP that I will be ceasing as a daily phenomenon and it is NOT a protest of the recent facelift that WP is attempting and causing some pingback issues.

So why 3 days time? Well, in 3 days time I would cross a new threshold or some would call it a new phase in my life journey. This sort of became the impetus for me to change the way I go about writing which was via DP for 88 days in a row (in 3 days time)! I did say to myself that I would give daily DP a go for 3 months and wala… it is about time.

I will however, endeavour to share happenings, thoughts, reflections, learnings, photos, etc and continue to read fellow blogging community that I have grown to cherish and appreciate here. The learning and generosity from many of you made this place so enriching and enjoyable for me. Thank you 🙂

  1. I’ve enjoyed your posts and wish you much joy on whatever is the next phase of your life’s journey. I suspect a lot of people will be cutting back now, myself included, due to the Christmas season and getting in extra quality time with family & friends.

    • Oh yes, many people are busy this season for various reasons but time with family is precious 🙂 DP is still a great platform for ideas and practice. Would want to be more focused and not be prompted to write is the main reason. This phase was spoken of in some of my DP posts where I struggled with assignments and exams for the longest time. So it will end in 3 days time and a new day will begin 🙂

  2. I have enjoyed your DP posts — okay, I don’t think I’ve read all 85, but that is impressive! I know the prompts have frustrated you at times, but you always have something worth reading 🙂

I am going to cut back, too (working on a post about that now), so I can focus on family. If I seem to be reading less frequently over the next weeks, that is why.

  3. Good Luck with whatever you are moving in to. I think whatever it is you will ace it. You are so good at taking these daily prompts and coming up with some very good ideas and stories. Hope to still see some posts in the future. Wishing you very Happy Holidays.
