If your furniture, appliances, and other inanimate objects at home had feelings and emotions, to which item would you owe the biggest apology?
At first I thought my bed would complain about my frequent tossing and turning before I finally fall asleep but that would last usually no longer than an hour a day. Then I realised it was the TV sobbing woefully at the living room when I observed it as I walked to the kitchen from my bedroom.
I don’t watch TV regularly but it is on almost all the time in the house from morning to night! It keeps my mom company during her waking hours and hardly gets any rest even when she falls asleep or closes her eyes in between the programs shown. During her attentive hours, she would surf the channels and switch from one program to another like some exercise using the remote control. It was like some therapeutic activity that she does and it can go on for sometime until she settles on a program that was worth a longer attention.
So Mr Toshiba, sorry for the long struggle you have to face day after day. Thank you for providing programs without fail daily for several years without any complaints or protest. Ok tell me WP is not making me insane by making me apologise and thank my TV set!
