Local Color

This sounds shady. You know when there’s only black and white you get shades of gray. DP seems to enjoy the exercise of using our imagination such as having an imaginary friend and now an imaginary color. Seriously, if only one color is the option, I would prefer not to use it.

There already exists photos or artwork where you see a person in grayscale (black and white shades) and then there is an object like an apple or a hat that is bright red or its true color. It made what was real looked unreal, out of harmony or sync with the whole picture. Some would say it is the contrast that was intended. Contrast? Isn’t that obvious or in your face?

So since the option is one color and one object. I will choose a tree. Here lies the ambiguity. One tree or all trees? So I shall take the liberty to imagine that it is all trees and they shall be green. I know the bark and branches shouldn’t be green but I am taking an aerial view for this 🙂

I shall be on top of a mountain looking down the valley of a vast forest with varying shades of green. Such a wondrous sight to behold and the mountain ranges beyond it also covered with trees and some of the mountain tops will have cotton clouds or snow caps in shades of white and gray. Sigh… I am happy now 🙂

Local Color – DP Imagine we lived in a world that’s all of a sudden devoid of color, but where you’re given the option to have just one object keep its original hue. Which object (and which color) would that be?
