“We’ve all heard that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Do you agree? Is all beauty contingent on a subjective point of view?”
We have heard and used the phrase, “A face only a mother could love”. This resonates more than just beauty in the eye of the beholder. It has to do with the `transformative’ eyes of love, faith or hope of the beholder towards another by looking beyond the flaws, imperfections, color or creed.
It made me think of how I look at people, creatures or things and ask myself, is there beauty? Can I see beyond the faults or ugliness in my own eyes or judgement and appreciate the goodness or `inner’ beauty? Ok, my head hurts now.
Back to the question, the answer is “Yes”, for now.
